Diamond Hotel PMS

Context

Diamond Hotel Consulting provides technology to independent hotels across Latin America. I am co-owner and have led the technical side since 2021.

The problem

Independent hotels cannot afford an international PMS, and local ones either do not exist or integrate with nothing. Many were running on spreadsheets and paper notebooks: double bookings, cash that never balanced, and zero visibility into the business.

What I did

• Built and maintain the PMS — over 1,000 commits since 2021, still active: bookings, rates, availability, folios, electronic invoicing and shift cash control
• Business reporting module: ADR, occupancy and revenue by channel
• Multi-property view for groups running several hotels
• WhatsApp bot wired into the system for the most frequent operations
• Migrated the architecture from the original monolith to a standalone data gateway with a modern front end, without service downtime

Outcome

Hotels live in 5 Latin American countries. Still to be published: number of properties, rooms managed and bookings processed per month.
